Donna Awuor
Operations Officer
A Bi feminist and activist with over 7yrs experience in LGBTQ+ & womxn’s rights issues, she has been with GALCK since 2013 where she is now the Operations Officer. In 2015, Donna participated in the Rainbow Leadership training in Sweden, increasing her knowledge and growing her confidence level. She holds a diploma in HRM from the Kenya Institute of Management. Her passion for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issues for LBTQ womxn and GNC persons that sparked the convo “Let’s talk health” and increased awareness on the same.
She is one of GALCK’s representatives within the RHRN platform that champions SRHR for young people where she advocates for LBTQ womxn, & GNC persons and creates the link between GALCK member organizations and health providers so they access SRHR services free from stigma and discrimination.
Donna also coordinates the GALCK Emergency security response mechanism and is currently pursuing a BBA at Riara University. With her background in HR, she hopes to become an independent consultant to help Queer organizations in developing better policies to challenge the status quo.
